Akron Golf Course Details - Mud Run

Welcome to the area's best kept golf secret -- Mud Run Golf Course & Driving Range.  This nine hole gem was designed by Craig Schreiner, ASGCA, and has been referred to as a slice of North Carolina "low country" golf, with 9 pristine manicured holes. 

The par-34 golf course has five sets of bent-grass tees that can accommodate golfers from beginners to the most skilled players.  The course stretches to 2,800 yards from the back tees and is one of the newest courses in the area -- built in 2003.

The nine-hole golf course sits on 85 acres, surrounded by wetlands and woods.  Included with the course is the Akron area's best driving ranges, two practice putting greens, and a one acre chipping / putting green.  Also included are a pavilion for golf outings and the beautiful 4,000 square foot clubhouse with snack bar, pro shop, and banquet room.  Electric carts and pull carts are available.   

The facility also serves as the home for the First Tee of Akron, a youth development organization that serves to teach golf skills and promote character development through the game of golf.
